The Ninth Circuit seeks a Senior Systems Programmer to perform high-level planning and management of complex programming projects for the Ninth Circuit to include designing, coding, testing and implementing mission critical applications. The position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer and will interact regularly with elected officials, senior management, department heads, IT team members and vendors to identify and define court related programming needs, priorities and solutions.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in ES6+ syntax, expressJS, building REST APIs, React or VueJS as well as different SQL databases. Be familiar with transpilers and build tools such as babel and webpack. Have a strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, server-side templating languages and front end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3. Have a strong knowledge of Node.js including supporting frameworks and a firm understanding of the fundamental design principles behind scalable applications with experience in creating database schemas to represent and support business processes.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar field plus 4 years of experience in computer programming, engineering or a similar IT leadership role. Progressively responsible experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis. This is an Orange County funded position with benefits.
